en.Wedoany.com Reported - True North Copper (ASX:TNC) has discovered a new high-grade copper-gold zone at the Wallace North prospect during diamond drilling at the Cloncurry Copper Project in northwest Queensland.
Significant intercepts were obtained at a depth of 117 meters: a 24.5-meter interval grading 2.17% copper and 2.01 g/t gold, with a copper equivalent grade of 4.2%; including a 3.3-meter interval grading 10.11% copper and 7.93 g/t gold, with a copper equivalent grade of 18.1%.
Additional drilling results near the extension of the main vein returned an 11-meter interval grading 2.45% copper and 0.43 g/t gold, with a copper equivalent grade of 2.9%.
Managing Director Andrew Mooney stated that these results have enhanced the company's understanding of the mineralized system. Combined with strong drilling results in 2025, they have increased confidence in expanding resources through follow-up drilling and highlighted the long-term underground development potential of the system. The broader 2026 drilling program is strengthening the emerging Wallace-Wynberg copper-gold zone, with additional shallow gold-copper mineralization discovered within mining leases near existing infrastructure, providing opportunities for further resource expansion and enhancing the overall value of the Cloncurry Copper Project.
This drilling program completed a total of 9 reverse circulation holes (1,806 meters total depth) and 1 diamond drill hole (300.5 meters) to support future resource conversion and pre-feasibility study (PFS) work. Remaining sample analysis and metallurgical test work are scheduled to continue through September, with the target timeline for integrating results into future resource growth, reserves, and PFS work streams set for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Cloncurry Project contains multiple deposits, with total indicated and inferred resources of 125,720 tonnes of copper and 91,300 ounces of gold. The Wallace North resource stands at 2 million tonnes of ore grading 1.28% copper and 0.77 g/t gold.
