en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas has announced its network for the 2026 winter peak season, planning 38,692 flights offering 6,991,724 seats, an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Operating from June 20 to August 12, the company will add over 500,000 seats compared to the previous season, distributed across 2,847 additional flights. According to the company, this will be its largest winter operation ever.
The domestic market is the main component of this expansion. GOL will add 3,777 flights and approximately 703,000 seats in the domestic market, a 10% increase over the 2025 winter season. In international operations, flight numbers will grow by 1.89%, and seat supply by 2.78%, adding 14,436 seats.
During the school holiday period, the Northeast region will receive a significant capacity boost. In July alone, the company will increase seat supply to the region by approximately 190,000, a 15% rise compared to the same month last year. Salvador, one of GOL's main hubs, will see an increase of about 44,000 additional seats, a 20% growth. The capital of Bahia currently connects to 22 destinations served by the company, including international flights to Buenos Aires. Another highlight is São Luís, benefiting from the peak tourist season at Lençóis Maranhenses. The company will increase flight frequencies from Guarulhos, Brasília, and Salvador, and resume seasonal operations between Congonhas and the capital of Maranhão. Flight supply to the city will be 8% higher than in July 2025. In the Northern region, the company is expanding capacity by 51%, adding 572 flights and approximately 105,000 seats across the 12 destinations it serves. Capacity in Rio de Janeiro will also increase, with over 37,000 additional seats in July, a 3.1% year-on-year growth.
During this season, GOL will also operate six domestic seasonal routes: Brasília to Porto Seguro; Salvador to Cuiabá; Rio de Janeiro/Galeão to Ilhéus; Guarulhos to Ilhéus; Salvador to Ilhéus; and Congonhas to São Luís.
In the international market, the main highlight is the upcoming route between Rio de Janeiro/Galeão International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. Flights will begin on July 8, operated by Airbus A330 aircraft, also marking the debut of the company's new business class, INSIGNIA by GOL, on its long-haul operations. Another new development is the route between São Paulo/Guarulhos and Ushuaia, Argentina, starting July 7. This will be the company's first flight to this destination, strengthening capacity to Patagonia during the snow season. Operations between Guarulhos and Bariloche, launched on June 26, will also return to the winter network. The seasonal international route plan also includes Belo Horizonte/Confins to Buenos Aires/Ezeiza, Fortaleza to Miami, Manaus to Miami, and Natal to Montevideo.
In addition to the winter operations, GOL has confirmed the launch of flights to Lisbon in September. The company has also announced future routes to Paris and Orlando, with inaugural flight dates to be announced later.
