en.Wedoany.com Reported - Germany's Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BSO) has taken delivery of a new commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) from Norwegian shipyard Ulstein Verft. This is the fourth in a series of CSOVs built by Ulstein for BSO, following sister vessels Windea Curie and Windea Clausius, delivered in 2025, and Windea Carnot, delivered earlier this year.

The vessel features the same design as Olympic Boreas, delivered to Norwegian operator Olympic in 2024, with ship design by Ulstein Design and Solutions. Key characteristics of the CSOV include a motion-compensated walk-to-work (W2W) gangway and elevator tower, a helideck, a 3D-compensated crane, and a hybrid battery propulsion system configurable for future methanol fuel operation. The vessel also incorporates Ulstein's patented twin-tail design, with main thrusters at the bow and stern, and a unique hull shape that reduces resistance and motion, ensuring safer W2W operations. It has 111 cabins accommodating up to 132 people. Ulstein states that the vessel is equipped with life-saving appliances for all personnel on board.
