en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ashok Leyland has launched India's first series of trucks equipped with air suspension, with three new models offering a payload advantage of up to 4 tonnes, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and profitability in commercial vehicles.

Ashok Leyland, part of the Hinduja Group, has introduced the new series comprising three models: AVTR 4925 10×2 MAV, AVTR 4625 10×2 MAV, and AVTR 4525 8×2 MAV, which are India's first 49-tonne, 46-tonne, and 45-tonne air suspension trucks, respectively, offering a payload advantage of up to 4 tonnes.
The air suspension system enhances vehicle stability under heavy loads while reducing vibration and impact, contributing to a smoother driving experience, especially on uneven roads, and extending tire life. These trucks also feature maintenance-free rear suspension that requires no lubrication, reducing maintenance needs. iVAC (Intelligent Vehicle Acceleration Control) and ATC (Automatic Traction Control) are standard features designed to improve fuel efficiency and traction across different road conditions.

The series offers both chassis cab and full cab options, with various cargo body lengths available. The company states that these trucks are designed to boost productivity, lower operating costs, and deliver greater value to customers. Shenu Agarwal emphasized Ashok Leyland's technological leadership in the Indian commercial vehicle industry, while Sanjeev Kumar noted that customers are seeking higher efficiency, reliability, and value in their operations.
