Tongwei's "High-efficiency, High-bifaciality TOPCon Solar Cells and Modules" technology was selected among the ten major scientific and technological progress items.

This evaluation, organized by the Photovoltaic Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, aims to identify breakthrough and leading photovoltaic technological achievements of the year. The ten selected technologies cover multiple fields from cell technology to core equipment manufacturing, representing the current level of photovoltaic technology development. Tongwei's selection reflects its sustained investment and achievements in the TOPCon technology roadmap.

The selected technology focuses on improving the conversion efficiency and power generation capability of solar cells. The R&D team made progress in interface passivation, metallization processes, and cell structure design, achieving improvements in cell efficiency. Meanwhile, this technology optimizes the bifacial power generation performance of modules, helping to better utilize light resources in different scenarios and enhance the power generation revenue of photovoltaic power plants.

The joint R&D unit of this project, Southwest Petroleum University, has a theoretical research foundation in materials science. Through collaboration, the two parties combined Tongwei's industrial advantages with the university's scientific research and innovation capabilities to jointly overcome multiple technical challenges and promote the transformation of scientific achievements into productivity.
