en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 18, the City Council of Huelva, Spain, launched a tender for the rooftop photovoltaic system of the Carolina Marín Sports Hall, with a project budget of €449,420, using an open simplified tendering procedure, with a bid submission deadline of September 7. The project execution period is four months.

The project will install a 438.75 kWp photovoltaic self-consumption system on the sports hall roof, designed for zero surplus electricity export to the grid, with the generated power directly connected to the venue's internal electrical network. The system includes 702 photovoltaic modules and four Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M2 inverters (100 kW each), which convert the DC power generated by the photovoltaic modules into 400 V AC power before integrating it into the building's internal grid. The installation uses the Solarbloc Coplanar 0° ballasted mounting system, avoiding the need for roof perforation. The available installation area for the project is approximately 5,620 square meters. The system is expected to generate 626,102 kWh annually, with an estimated generation efficiency of 74.77%.

The project also includes the installation of two three-phase electric vehicle charging stations, each equipped with two 22 kW sockets. In addition, a display screen of no less than 80 inches is planned to be installed in the venue lobby to showcase building energy consumption and photovoltaic generation revenue data in real time.

The project is part of Huelva's local integrated development strategy and is co-financed by the EU FEDER fund. Mariló Ponce, Councillor for Infrastructure and Public Services of Huelva, stated that this initiative is part of the City Council's strategy to improve energy efficiency in municipal buildings, following the previous installation of self-consumption photovoltaic systems in buildings such as the Casa Colón.
