en.Wedoany.com Reported - Neoen is advancing four renewable energy projects in France, including three solar power plants and one wind farm, with commissioning concentrated between late 2027 and the first half of 2028. The four projects are the BA 217 solar power plant, the Saint-Just solar power plant, the La Ferme des Cros solar power plant, and the Moulin à Vent wind farm.

The BA 217 solar power plant has an installed capacity of 41 MWp and is located at the Bretigny-sur-Orge military base. The site spans the Essonne department south of Paris, involving the two municipalities of Plessis-Pâté and Bretigny-sur-Orge. In 2021, the French Ministry of the Armed Forces selected the project through a tender and classified it under the "Place au Soleil" program. After extensive clearance of unexploded ordnance from the site, Eiffage Energie Systèmes was commissioned by Neoen to undertake construction and maintenance. The plant is scheduled for commissioning in the first half of 2028 and will be the largest solar power plant in the Île-de-France region upon completion.

Both agrisolar farms combine sheep farming with renewable energy generation. The Saint-Just solar power plant in the Cher department has an installed capacity of 30 MWp and includes a planned new sheepfold with a capacity of 150 sheep; Sireos is responsible for construction and will also handle maintenance after commissioning, with the project expected to be commissioned in the first half of 2028. The La Ferme des Cros solar power plant in the Charente department has an installed capacity of 16 MWp, with construction and maintenance entrusted by Neoen to Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, also scheduled for commissioning in the first half of 2028.

The Moulin à Vent wind farm in the Haute-Vienne area consists of three turbines with an installed capacity of 14 MW and is planned for commissioning at the end of 2027. The wind farm will generate approximately 28.5 GWh annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 12,000 people, and more than half the population of the Haut-Limousin en Marche area. The construction contract was awarded to Vestas, Atlas Fondations, and Colas; Neoen is also providing support to a local cultural center in the Haut-Limousin area.

The four projects demonstrate that Neoen can develop and deliver solar and wind projects across France through close consultation with landowners, farmers, local stakeholders, and government authorities. This collaborative approach integrates projects into local communities while addressing local energy and environmental challenges. The company currently has more than 2.5 GW in operation or under construction in France and continues to advance a large project pipeline, with 300 MW expected to enter the construction phase in the next 12 months.

Christophe Desplats-Redier, CEO of Neoen France, attributed the latest achievements to the hard work and dedication of the French team and believes that 2026 will be an important year for the company in France following the launch of several flagship projects. He thanked the local stakeholders who helped bring the projects to fruition, as well as Enedis and the industrial partners who will soon turn the projects into reality.

Xavier Barbaro, CEO of the Neoen Group, congratulated the French team on completing four new projects. He noted that the company has launched more than 500 MW of capacity into construction so far this year, making a significant contribution to its 2 GW global annual target. The company is proud to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, competitive, and reliable energy future in France and around the world.
