en.Wedoany.com Reported - Palamina Corp. announced that its subsidiary, Colt Silver, has completed ground magnetic and gravity surveys at the Galena silver-copper project in the Santa Lucía mining district of Puno, identifying near-surface drilling targets. These geophysical efforts included collecting magnetic and gravity data across different areas of the project, as well as analyzing historical mineralized zones and related geological structures. Meanwhile, Palamina is evaluating the potential spin-off of Colt Silver as an independent publicly traded company.

The geophysical results are interpreted as structural indicators favorable for mineralization in the area, enhancing the project's exploration potential. Palamina President Andrew Thomson noted that the ground magnetic and gravity surveys suggest the Ayabacas Formation may be present near the surface in uplifted fault blocks, making related structures and their intersections attractive exploration drilling targets. The company further detailed that two zones associated with silver, lead, and copper anomalies have been identified in the Gris belt, linked to confirmed structural trends in the district, including vein systems with historical mineralization and northeast-trending structures related to past mining operations.
Currently, the identified areas are undergoing field evaluation, with geophysical data continuing to be integrated with sampling and geological mapping information to refine the interpretation of the project's potential.
