Togo's Cimtogo Launches Low-Carbon Cement, Reducing Emissions to 468.6 kg/t

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Cimtogo, a subsidiary of Heidelberg Materials, has launched a low-carbon cement product called Ecocim in the Togolese market to replace its original Super Rapide cement. The product achieves emission reductions by lowering the clinker content while maintaining the same mechanical strength and technical performance. According to data released by Cimtogo, the carbon dioxide emissions of Ecocim have been reduced from 485.6 kg per ton of cement to 468.6 kg per ton.

Ecocim is the first product in Togo to comply with the country's newly enacted TGN 002 cement standard. Ebenezer Anim Somuah, General Manager of Cimtogo, stated that this launch reflects the company's commitment to supporting the development of the construction industry through more sustainable cement products while maintaining product quality and performance.
