en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rubezh Strazh, the access control system from Russia's Rubezh company, has been integrated with the Vizir.SKUD solution from the TsRT Group to connect FS8 biometric terminals. This integration allows for organizing facial recognition access control using Sber's biometric platform in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ, expanding the functionality of Rubezh Strazh and facilitating the implementation of biometric authentication at facilities with high security requirements.
Sergey Soldatov, head of the Rubezh Strazh product line at Rubezh, stated that the open software interface of Rubezh Strazh allows partners to integrate the system with various external solutions and expand access control scenarios tailored to specific facility tasks. The joint solution with TsRT complements the access control system's functionality with biometric authentication that fully complies with current legislation, helping customers implement modern technologies and enhance security levels.
To connect FS8 biometric terminals, the Vizir.SKUD software module is used, which ensures interaction between Rubezh Strazh and Sber's biometric system. This module synchronizes access card data in Rubezh Strazh with user data in Sber's biometric system, which comes from the Unified Biometric System. After successful biometric authentication, the terminal transmits the access card identifier to the Rubezh Strazh controller via the Wiegand protocol, and the system grants access based on assigned permissions and schedules.
To prevent identity spoofing attempts, the terminal supports liveness detection technology, which can detect the use of photos and other simulation methods. The solution is developed in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ "On the Use of Biometric Personal Data for Identification and (or) Authentication of Individuals," and biometric data is not stored on the customer's premises.
Using biometric authentication requires: registering biometric data in the Unified Biometric System; consenting to the processing of biometric data for Sber's biometric platform; and linking the biometric identifier to the organization's access card.
Andrey Khrulev, Deputy General Director of the TsRT Group, stated that last year the TsRT Group integrated Vizir.SKUD with Sber's biometric system, which is the largest commercial biometric system operator in Russia. Vizir.SKUD thus became the first access control system solution on the market to fully comply with 572-FZ. The joint solution from TsRT and Rubezh Strazh can be easily and quickly integrated into existing infrastructure and business processes.
The integration of Rubezh Strazh and TsRT's solution enables: organizing facial recognition access control in the Rubezh Strazh access control system; using biometric authentication in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 572-FZ; implementing biometric access control in existing access control system infrastructure; and enhancing security levels through liveness detection technology.
This integration enhances the capabilities of the Rubezh security ecosystem, allowing the use of modern biometric authentication technology within a unified access control system.
