With this certification, the technology is included in the program's validated toolset, aiming to support municipalities across São Paulo state in expanding internet access and modernizing public services.

This certification was completed through a public tender (Chamada Pública) initiated by a São Paulo state government agency, evaluating solutions with high technological maturity that have already been validated in real-world environments. The program's goal is to drive digital transformation across all 645 municipalities in the state, connecting public managers with technologies that enhance urban efficiency, connectivity, and citizen-centric services.

According to public information, Mambo WiFi's platform has been used to manage internet access in schools, health units, libraries, cultural centers, squares, public buildings, and events, enabling secure and standardized management of connectivity for citizens. Elmo Medeiros, Director of Public Sector at Mambo WiFi, stated that this certification underscores the importance of connectivity as infrastructure for digital public services. He noted: "The digital transformation of municipalities relies on reliable, secure, and accessible connectivity infrastructure. Programs like 'Smart Cities 360' help public managers access tested and validated solutions, thereby accelerating projects for digital inclusion and public management modernization." The executive also stated that expanding internet access in public facilities directly impacts the quality of services provided to citizens, as well as their access to education, culture, and information.

Medeiros added: "Connectivity is no longer just a technological resource; it has become a strategic element for urban development. When schools, health units, libraries, and other public spaces have structured internet access, it lays a stronger foundation for delivering digital services and integrating citizens into a connected environment." In addition to certification, Mambo WiFi's solution is eligible to participate in new technology validation and proof-of-concept projects in innovative environments, creating concrete opportunities to demonstrate sustainable public Wi-Fi monetization models in Brazilian municipalities. By combining digital inclusion, high-quality connectivity, and municipal revenue generation through innovative digital infrastructure solutions, the initiative aims to transform internet access into a strategic asset for economic development, public service modernization, and improved citizen experience.
