en.Wedoany.com Reported - The data center market welcomes a new specialized player—Corevia Advisory, a strategic consulting firm focused on digital infrastructure investment in the Iberian Peninsula. The company was founded by three seasoned industry professionals—Robert Assink, Armando Layna, and Emilio Jaime Sánchez—who believe that market expansion is driving demand for specialized expertise to help mitigate risks and accelerate project execution.
Corevia Advisory positions itself as a provider of pre-investment strategic consulting services. Its founders believe this area has previously received insufficient attention. Robert Assink stated that the company will define a strategic consulting approach that does not compete with existing engineering or market report firms, aiming to provide decision-making support for capital funds and clients looking to enter the market. The company's client base will encompass investment funds, operators, energy companies, manufacturers, landowners, and public administration bodies. Its core value lies in integrating knowledge across the entire industry value chain to assist clients in site selection assessment, regulatory feasibility analysis, energy access, and market opportunity evaluation.
Co-founder Armando Layna noted that the rapid growth of the data center industry has highlighted the need for specialized consulting. He believes that many international enterprises and investors are familiar with data center operations but lack understanding of the regulatory, administrative, and operational characteristics of the Iberian Peninsula—stating, "This industry is growing very fast, yet there is a lack of sufficient knowledge." The company aims to leverage the partners' experience in site selection, regulation, permitting, construction, operations, and critical infrastructure to help investors reduce risks.

Emilio Jaime Sánchez, responsible for the technical direction, believes that the so-called "agent era" is transforming the way digital infrastructure is built and consulted. He has over a decade of experience in the artificial intelligence project field. Corevia plans to integrate intelligent agents and AI tools to automate parts of analysis and process management while retaining human oversight. Sánchez stated that artificial intelligence can facilitate and help handle cumbersome processes, but only if knowledge can be effectively transmitted and encapsulated.
During the formal launch presentation, the founders agreed that the primary challenge in current data center development is not only energy availability but also project execution speed. Assink believes that the time from project initiation to market launch directly determines return on investment: "You can have everything, but only execution speed delivers return on investment." Layna pointed out that Spain has advantages in renewable energy, international connectivity, and legal security, but faces administrative barriers and regulatory imbalances that could delay strategic projects. He believes the Iberian Peninsula is well-positioned to attract digital economy investment, provided that risks related to project execution are effectively reduced. Corevia Advisory's mission is to accompany investors throughout the decision-making process, minimizing the risks of project implementation in the Iberian Peninsula.
