en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's mid-tier steel manufacturer Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited announced on July 3, 2026, that its value-added product sales reached a historic quarterly record in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. This growth was primarily driven by strong demand for pre-galvanized coils and pipes, as well as stainless steel coils.

According to the company's disclosure, total sales in the first quarter of this fiscal year reached 107,771 tons, a 16.25% increase from 92,706 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Value-added product sales rose from 79,717 tons in the same period last year to 101,191 tons, indicating the company's continued shift toward high-value, high-margin products. Meanwhile, intermediate product sales declined from 12,989 tons to 6,580 tons, a decrease of 49.34%.

By product segment, structural tubes and steel pipes (including ERW black pipes, galvanized iron pipes, and cold-rolled full-hard pipes) shipped 56,617 tons in the quarter, up 12.57% year-on-year; pre-galvanized coil and pipe sales surged to 29,814 tons, up 49.19% year-on-year; and stainless steel coil sales reached 14,760 tons, up 56.37% year-on-year.

Headquartered in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, Sambhv Steel Tubes is one of the country's leading manufacturers of ERW steel pipes and structural tubes. The company operates with a deep backward integration model, enabling it to produce specialized raw materials such as sponge iron, billets, continuous cast billets, hot-rolled coils, and cold-rolled coils in-house. The company currently operates two plants in Sarora (Tilda) and Kuthrel in Chhattisgarh, with an installed stainless steel coil capacity of 116,000 tons per year. In the current quarter, stainless steel coil sales were 14,760 tons, up 4% from 14,185 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal year and a sequential increase of 56% from 9,439 tons in the previous quarter, reflecting strong market demand and improved capacity utilization.

Despite significant disruptions to India's domestic steel industry due to global supply chain interruptions, Sambhv Steel Tubes successfully shifted its sales focus to premium, high-margin products, maintaining overall sales stability. This record quarterly performance highlights the company's continued progress in its strategy of transitioning toward high-value-added products.
