en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bahrain Telecom and digital solutions provider Batelco by Beyon has signed an agreement with real estate company Naseej BSC (c) to introduce smart home technology in a residential project located in Salman City, marking the first implementation of such technology in the residential sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The project, developed in partnership with the private sector as part of the Government Land Development Rights Programme, comprises 24 housing units currently under construction. The agreement was signed during the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2026, with Abdulla Danesh, President of Enterprise Business at Batelco, and Ayman Buheji, President of Development Business at Naseej, representing their respective companies.

The smart home solution is designed to allow users to manage lighting, air conditioning, security monitoring, and certain household appliances via a smart mobile application, enhancing convenience, comfort, and safety in the living environment. Abdulla Danesh, President of Enterprise Business at Batelco by Beyon, stated that this collaboration integrates smart home technology into residential development, helping to improve energy efficiency, enhance safety and comfort, and create a smart living environment that supports sustainable development, reflecting the company's commitment to leveraging digital technology to develop more connected residential communities in support of Bahrain's vision for future-oriented cities.

Ayman Buheji, President of Development Business at Naseej, noted that the agreement is part of Naseej's strategy to provide advanced residential communities. The smart home solution will allow residents to intelligently control lighting, air conditioning, security systems, and household appliances via an application, thereby improving quality of life and supporting the Kingdom's vision for sustainable, future-oriented communities. The project, comprising 24 housing units, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027 and is positioned as a flagship housing project developed in cooperation with the government in the Northern Governorate, designed to high quality and sustainability standards to meet the needs of Bahraini families through optimized building space utilization and integrated services.
