en.Wedoany.com Reported - AIMS Metrology plans to demonstrate its new multi-sensor five-axis coordinate measuring machine (CMM), along with a new software platform and new inspection equipment options, at Booth #134242 during the upcoming International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS). The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has launched the five-axis multi-sensor LM-SF model, designed specifically for REVO five-axis applications and advanced scanning using SP25 and lasers, to address the needs of manufacturing engineers for real-time part inspection on the shop floor. This multi-sensor CMM allows operators to perform different inspection tasks at the same location and is equipped with a thermal compensation system, active pneumatic vibration isolation, and a contamination suppression system to withstand factory environmental conditions. The LM-SF series enables fully automated operation and can be integrated into production cells or used as a standalone inspection station.

AIMS has also introduced the LM Enhanced Series five-axis CMM, with new models offering 30% to 40% improved accuracy over previous versions, incorporating advanced controllers and new thermal compensation mapping technology. In response to growing demand for high-precision gear inspection, AIMS has added a gear inspection option to its FlexGauge contact scanner for small, high-precision parts. Additionally, the new CCP retrofit drive solution enables job shops and contract manufacturers to upgrade aging comparators and bring them back into service. On the software side, AIMS has launched the latest platform, PolyWorks, which supports 3D measurement, quality control, and reverse engineering, and can connect to hardware such as laser scanners and probes. Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of scanning using this software.

Regarding company background, AIMS' Revolution series five-axis coordinate measuring machines provide multi-sensor inspection and information collection tools for manufacturing. Supported by Renishaw's five-axis probe system and open-source platform technology, the LM, HB, and Summit series meet critical production needs for small to medium-sized in-process and post-process parts. AIMS manufactures and assembles its machines in the United States, and its in-house service and application teams can provide customized services for each CMM, including programming, custom fixtures, tooling, and automation solutions. The company also offers machine retrofitting and refurbishment equipment, with an after-sales support team assisting manufacturers in maintaining equipment uptime. AIMS has achieved ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration service certification.
