en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bruker Corporation has announced the expansion of its strategic collaboration with Atinary Technologies Inc., including a minority equity investment in the company. Financial details were not disclosed. Atinary is a pioneer in Self-Driving Labs® technology and AI-driven R&D, serving the pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, and materials sectors.

Under the plan, Atinary will integrate Chemspeed's configurable laboratory automation platforms, Bruker analytical instruments, and SciY scientific software into its agentic AI workflows. Atinary's no-code SDLabs® platform leverages AI agents and machine learning to design optimal experiments, delivering better results faster through automated closed-loop "design-make-test-analyze-learn" workflows. Running such integrated workflows generates high-quality, reproducible, and AI-ready datasets, which are critical for training better models, improving experimental success rates, and accelerating the discovery process.

Atinary and Chemspeed have established a joint demonstration laboratory at Chemspeed's headquarters near Basel, Switzerland. Atinary's autonomous laboratory in Boston will be launched as a scientific data factory in early 2026, with the goal of accelerating the time-to-market for better molecules and products. The laboratory is equipped with Chemspeed robots, Bruker benchtop nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers, and automation and measurement tools from other vendors, with a focus on small-molecule synthesis and catalysis in drug discovery and process development.

Professor Stephen Buchwald, Camille Dreyfus Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and scientific advisor to Atinary Technologies, stated that cross-coupling reactions have had a significant impact on multiple industries, including drug discovery and manufacturing, yet the full potential of this chemistry—particularly C-N coupling—remains underexplored. The vast parameter space of catalysts, ligands, bases, solvents, and temperatures is complex and difficult to navigate, and generating rigorous, reproducible, laboratory-validated datasets could lead to significant advances. He is delighted to be part of the Atinary team and looks forward to applying his methods in the laboratory to address meaningful scientific challenges.

Dr. Hermann Tribukait, co-founder and CEO of Atinary Technologies, stated that Atinary's mission is to augment human capabilities with AI and robotics to exponentially accelerate scientific discovery and address critical challenges on Earth. Together with his team, ecosystem partners, and customers, he is designing and enabling autonomous laboratories as R&D flywheels, where each experiment provides smarter inputs for the next, allowing the informational value of real laboratory data to compound continuously.

Bernd Gleixner, President of the Chemspeed division, stated that the strategic investment in Atinary advances Bruker's goal of combining differentiated analytical technologies with laboratory automation, scientific software, and AI-guided experimentation. The Atinary SDLabs in Basel and Boston have already demonstrated closed-loop R&D workflows powered by agentic AI, and Bruker plans to build on this foundation to expand the collaboration to additional analytical solutions and customer applications.
