en.Wedoany.com Reported - Gold Hunter Resources Inc. (CSE: HUNT, OTCQB: HNTRF) announced on June 25, 2026, the official launch of its 2026 initial drilling program at the Great Northern Project in Newfoundland, Canada, with a total planned meterage of 10,000 meters. The project is the company's flagship asset, covering 26,237 hectares of mineral rights along the Doucers Valley Fault.

Gold Hunter Resources is a gold exploration company focused on the Newfoundland region. The 10,000-meter diamond drilling program now underway is fully funded. Drilling targets are based on the company's 2025 regional geophysical surveys and machine learning target analysis results, focusing on three strategic directions: gold-bearing structural branches of the Doucers Valley Fault, the Thor deposit, the Viking Block, and the Rattling Brook historical resource verification zone. Among these, the Thor deposit hosts an indicated resource of 879,000 tonnes at a gold grade of 1.79 g/t (containing 51,000 ounces of gold).

Drilling operations are being carried out by MCL Drilling, headquartered in Deer Lake, Newfoundland, approximately 85 kilometers from the project area. On-site exploration management is led by Equity Exploration Consultants Ltd., a senior geological consulting firm with nearly 40 years of experience managing large-scale drilling programs. Gold Hunter Resources President and CEO Sean Kingsley stated that the launch of this drilling program marks one of the most significant milestones since the company's inception, and that the company has completed systematic preparatory work to conduct the first systematic exploration of this district-scale mineral rights using a data-driven approach.

As part of CEO.CA's "Inside the Boardroom" interview series, Kingsley gave an exclusive interview regarding this drilling program. Gold Hunter Resources completed the regional consolidation of the Great Northern Project in 2024, increasing the exploration strike length by 64%. This drilling program aims to verify the gold potential of multiple high-priority target zones, laying the foundation for subsequent resource estimation.
