en.Wedoany.com Reported - A.P. Moller Holding, the parent company of Maersk, has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the equity in Ocean Yield, a global leading ship leasing platform, from funds managed by KKR through its subsidiary. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Ocean Yield owns over 70 modern vessels across eight segments, including tankers, container ships, and car carriers. Ocean Yield has invested over $3 billion, diversified its investment-grade customer base, and nearly doubled its contracted long-term charter revenue to over $5 billion.

Martin Larsen, Chief Financial Officer of A.P. Moller Holding, stated, "We are impressed by Ocean Yield's performance and its management team. We believe that combining Ocean Yield's compelling platform with our century-long experience in the maritime industry will establish a strong partnership."

Andreas Røde, CEO of Ocean Yield, said, "Since 2021, Ocean Yield has further solidified its position as a globally diversified leasing platform with long-term, high-quality contracted cash flows and a modern fleet. Therefore, we are delighted to embark on a new chapter of growth together with A.P. Moller Holding."

Vincent Policard, Partner and Co-Head of European Infrastructure at KKR, commented, "Together with the management team, KKR has significantly scaled and diversified the platform, strengthened its long-term contracted revenue, and supported its transition to a more modern and sustainable fleet. Today, Ocean Yield is a larger, stronger, and more resilient company, well-positioned to continue supporting its customers and the broader maritime sector. KKR is proud of what has been achieved and is confident that A.P. Moller Holding is an excellent long-term owner for Ocean Yield."

At the same time, KKR will continue as a strategic partner of Ocean Yield through a joint investment in CapeOmega Gas Transportation AS.
