en.Wedoany.com Reported - The System Operator of the Unified Energy System (SO UES) of Russia announced that, under the influence of extreme heat, six power grid systems in Siberia and the Far East set new summer peak electricity consumption records from June 23 to July 3, 2026.

In the grid of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, the peak load reached 965 MW on July 2, 32 MW higher than the record set in August 2024. The Siberian Integrated Power System (OES Sibiri) also saw significant growth: the grids of Altai Krai and the Altai Republic recorded a peak of 1,497 MW on July 3, exceeding the previous record by 54 MW.
Individual peak data were recorded for each federal subject: Altai Krai reached 1,402 MW, 46 MW higher than the 2024 figure; the Altai Republic recorded 97 MW, an increase of 2 MW. In the Republic of Buryatia, electricity consumption on June 29 reached 750 MW, 4 MW more than last year's record.
Load growth also occurred in Novosibirsk Oblast (2,142 MW, an increase of 13 MW compared to the 2024 figure), the Republic of Khakassia (2,023 MW, an increase of 39 MW), and Omsk Oblast (1,480 MW, an increase of 31 MW compared to the 2025 peak). These data reflect the higher loads on power grids under abnormal high-temperature conditions, requiring operators to implement operational mode management to maintain power supply stability.
