en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, Hanwha Qcells, a subsidiary of Hanwha Solutions, advanced a 200MW solar project in Indiana, USA, providing module supply as well as engineering, procurement, and construction services for the Reclamation solar power plant developed by Zelestra Energy. Located in Gibson County, Indiana, the solar project will supply electricity to Meta under a power purchase agreement to support its clean electricity procurement needs.
The Reclamation solar project plans to use approximately 320,000 solar modules, with the site located on former coal mining land. According to corporate arrangements, the 200MW solar project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027. The project name "Reclamation" reflects the development concept of converting existing industrial land into a renewable energy base, also providing a solar project model for the reuse of mining land in parts of the United States.
Hanwha Qcells recently completed construction of the Solar Hub integrated solar manufacturing base in Georgia, USA, and has begun strengthening its local manufacturing, financing, and EPC capabilities in the North American market. This 200MW solar project combines local module supply, engineering construction, and corporate power purchase agreements, indicating that the data center and operational electricity demands of large technology companies continue to drive US solar project development. The project's subsequent progress will depend on module delivery, on-site construction, grid connection arrangements, and PPA execution.
