en.Wedoany.com Reported - The consultation meeting for the exposure draft of the "Highway Engineering Technical Standards" (JTG B01-2014) (Revision), jointly compiled by the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport of China and CCCC First Highway Consultants Co., Ltd. (referred to as CCCC First Highway Consultants), was recently held. The chief reviewer and 14 authoritative experts from industry management, planning and design, research institutes, universities, and frontline production units conducted a full review of the standards' content.
Wu Shangen, Chief Expert of CCCC First Highway Consultants, reported at the meeting on the progress of the revision, its background, guiding ideology and principles, main revised content, and the implementation of feedback from across the country. Wu Mingxian, Chief Editor of the standards, National Engineering Survey and Design Master, and Deputy Chief Engineer of China Communications Construction Company, elaborated on the functional positioning of the revised standards, the overall revision framework, and the implementation of relevant national and industry policies and requirements. The attending experts conducted an in-depth review of the exposure draft chapter by chapter and article by article, and proposed suggestions for modification and improvement.
A relevant official from the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport stated that the standards are a programmatic technical document guiding the highway industry's transformation from "construction-focused" to "balanced emphasis on construction, management, maintenance, and operation." The revised standards have clear positioning and prominent priorities. In the future, they should be strengthened in alignment with technical policies related to highway reconstruction and expansion, in response to new developments in the industry, to comprehensively enhance the safety, operational efficiency, and service level of China's highways.
