en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 3, 2026, a 2400-ton large-span single-beam gantry crane at Wison Clean Energy's Qidong base successfully completed its heavy-load test. Manufactured by Weihua Ocean, this crane will work in coordination with an existing 1200-ton gantry crane also built by Weihua Ocean at the base, serving the entire process of heavy component transport, assembly, and commissioning for marine engineering equipment and large offshore modules.

The 2400-ton gantry crane that completed the heavy-load test is equipped with two 2×600-ton upper trolleys and one 700/50-ton lower trolley on the same rail, allowing the upper and lower trolleys to cross each other. The maximum rated lifting capacity across the entire main beam reaches 2400 tons. Weihua Ocean has deep expertise in the R&D and manufacturing of ultra-large-tonnage lifting equipment, having delivered major projects including 3600-ton, 3000-ton, 2500-ton, 2400-ton cranes, as well as dual 1200-ton, 225.6-meter large-span gantry cranes for the same marine dock. After delivery, these two gantry cranes will be used for heavy offshore lifting, supporting the capacity enhancement of China's marine engineering equipment manufacturing.

Wison Clean Energy's Qidong base is positioned for the construction and integration of large floating facilities and modules, with a planned total investment of 9 billion yuan, covering 1,685 mu of land. It includes the construction of one 80,000-ton-class outfitting dock and one marine dock measuring 520 meters long and 90 meters wide. The overall planning and design were completed by China Shipbuilding NDRI Engineering Co., Ltd. The project commenced full construction in February 2025, transitioned to trial production in January 2026, and is scheduled for full completion and operation in June. Upon completion, it is expected to produce 2 to 3 FLNG units annually, enhancing Wison Clean Energy's full-industry-chain integration and construction capabilities in large floating energy production units (FLNG/FPSO) and modular equipment in the marine engineering sector.

Located at the East Port Basin of Lvsi Port, the base forms a triangular support with Wison's Shanghai headquarters and Nantong floating facility construction base, facilitating full lifecycle project management and execution. Wison Clean Energy (formerly Wison Offshore & Marine) is a provider of clean energy technology and solutions, offering integrated EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning) solutions. Its business covers clean energy fields such as FLNG, floating production storage and offloading units, onshore standard modular LNG plants, floating natural gas power generation facilities, and floating wind power.
