The showcase focuses on 5-axis simultaneous machining, 6-sided mill-turn composite machining, and additive manufacturing products, reflecting five key technology directions: Machining Transformation (MX), Process Integration, Automation, Digital Transformation (DX), and Green Transformation (GX).
DMG MORI regards commissioning manufacturing solutions as the starting point of long-term partnerships, building collaborative relationships with customers across the entire lifecycle of production systems. Its supply portfolio includes digital tools from the DMQP (DMG MORI Certified Products) range, spare parts, as well as retrofit and lifecycle services. The new vertical machining center DMV 160 comes standard with the CELOS-based operating environment and automation interfaces, making it an economical, scalable entry-level option. This model belongs to the newly launched "Best Match Machine" (BX) series, which complements the MX portfolio with lower complexity and attractive pricing, aiming to sustain future-proof production capabilities in markets with weaker investment sentiment while increasing throughput for simple workpieces. In combination with CELOS X, the BX series enables accelerated shopfloor programming using DMG MORI technology cycles. For example, the complete gear machining package ALL IN 2.0 includes 8 technology cycles, allowing users to machine gears directly on existing mill-turn centers without the need for separate gear cutting machines. Some technology cycles can be temporarily activated via the my DMG MORI portal with flexible payment options, reducing programming time by up to 60%. At this year's AMB, the range of on-demand technology cycles has been extended to all machines produced at the Pfronten plant.
In terms of multi-process integration, the DMC 80 FDS duoBLOCK and the third-generation NTX 2500 will demonstrate the capability to integrate grinding and measuring processes into 5-axis simultaneous machining and 6-sided mill-turn composite machining. Automatic measuring devices as well as pallet and workpiece exchange systems increase machine runtime, shortening delivery times while maintaining precision machining. On the software side, the CELOS X platform connects machines, processes, and applications, while the my DMG MORI online portal accelerates problem resolution and spare parts procurement. Two new technology cycles are being introduced at this trade show: the Applied Turning Cycle (ATC), which adjusts feed rate based on table load, and the Machine Protection Control (MPC 2.0), which reduces collision risk through vibration monitoring and rapid shutdown.
