en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 4, PJ Monitoring in Austria launched a new digital production facility in Graz to expand the capacity of its WaggonTracker wagon monitoring system. Designed for railway freight wagon operations, this system enables automatic brake testing, wagon component monitoring, real-time brake status monitoring, and load measurement, primarily serving wagon owners, leasing companies, and rail freight operators.

The new production line utilizes digital work instructions and phased quality inspections, with each WaggonTracker system generating a digital record for traceability throughout the product lifecycle. Before installation on a wagon, each system unit must undergo complete testing and pass a 48-hour automated endurance test. Final commissioning is also recorded via tablets and QR codes, reducing manual recording omissions and improving delivery consistency.

PJM stated that the new modular production line supports rapid switching between different projects and can scale capacity as needed. The original production workshop will be repurposed for research, development, and prototype manufacturing. The company has also expanded its software and safety development teams and added office space near its Graz headquarters. Following the launch of the wagon monitoring system production line, the company's subsequent focus will be on batch production capabilities, product stability, and expanding digital application scenarios in rail freight.
