en.Wedoany.com Reported - A2Gold has commenced drilling at the Taylor silver-gold project in White Pine County, Nevada, USA.

The drilling follows the company's recent acquisition and consolidation of key internal mining claims, bringing the entire district under A2Gold's control as a single land package.
The current drilling program comprises 16 to 18 reverse circulation (RC) holes totaling 5,000 meters. The drilling has three primary objectives: expanding historical silver resources, evaluating near-surface gold mineralization potential, and testing priority gold-antimony targets.
Regarding the expansion of existing silver resources, drilling will focus on areas within and adjacent to previously delineated zones, aiming to confirm and extend known silver mineralization along strike and at depth. Results from this work will provide foundational data for an updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate.
According to the company, the Taylor project exhibits significant oxide gold potential within a corridor approximately 3 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide. A2Gold views the new drilling program as an opportunity to assess gold content within this broader system. Additionally, the company plans to test gold-antimony targets previously identified through prior studies, geological mapping, and geophysical surveys.
Furthermore, A2Gold intends to investigate mineralization concepts related to carbonate replacement deposits (CRD), skarn, and porphyry systems. The company stated that these mineralization types have not yet been extensively drill-tested in the area.
CEO Peter Gianulis stated that the Taylor project provides A2Gold with a second district-scale project in Nevada, an asset that not only hosts historical silver resources but also offers substantial gold potential and emerging antimony opportunities. He emphasized that against the backdrop of increasing U.S. focus on critical minerals, the company believes Taylor has the potential to become a significant silver-gold project in Nevada, with multiple pathways for discovery and resource growth.
Last month, A2Gold also released assay results from surface trench samples at the Blackrock target within its Eastside gold-silver project in Esmeralda County, Nevada.
