en.Wedoany.com Reported - Sixteen regions in Russia have begun grain harvesting, with threshing volumes exceeding 4.5 million tons. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev announced this progress at a seasonal field work meeting, noting that operations are proceeding according to the agronomic schedule and current yields are higher than the same period last year. Spring sowing work is virtually complete.

Patrushev stated that on the eve of large-scale harvesting, the key is to ensure resource supply for agricultural enterprises, particularly fuel supply. The situation is currently under control, with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy monitoring daily the supply of fuel and lubricants for seasonal field work, and additional measures will be taken if necessary.

The meeting also discussed preparing resources for winter sowing for the 2027 harvest alongside harvesting. Patrushev emphasized that all planned activities should be completed on time, as reported by Izvestia.

At the end of June, President Vladimir Putin ordered full efforts to ensure fuel supply for agro-industrial complex enterprises, emphasizing that summer agricultural producers face difficulties and that the seasonal fuel supply plan must be strictly implemented to guarantee the harvest. Subsequently, at a plenary session of the Federation Council, Senator Viktor Kress described the supply situation of fuel and lubricants for the agro-industrial complex as "catastrophic." Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko called for not dramatizing the situation but acknowledged obvious difficulties and instructed separate monitoring of fuel supply issues for the agro-industrial complex.
