en.Wedoany.com Reported - Osprey Group has successfully transported four large offshore tow heads for Aker BP ASA's Yggdrasil development project from Nigg Port to Subsea7's manufacturing facility in Wester, Wick. The operation involved SPMT loading, heavy crane operations, sea transport, and controlled convoy movements on public roads.

Osprey collaborated with Subsea7 to develop the transport plan, which included route selection, 2D sweep path analysis, stability checks, offshore lashing calculations, and temporary works. The transport utilized InterCombi modular trailers and specialized lifting equipment, navigating through port areas, narrow streets, and remote Scottish Highland roads. For the project cargo team, this mission demonstrated that the most challenging part is often not the lift itself, but everything between the lift and final delivery.

Osprey stated that this work showcases how engineering and logistics can be combined to support offshore energy projects related to UK infrastructure.
