en.Wedoany.com Reported - Colombia's newly built Puerto Antioquia has received its 100th container ship since launching container operations in February this year. The vessel is the CMA CGM-operated Fiordland.

In a video posted on the company's social media, Puerto Antioquia Operations Manager Gilberto Peña expressed delight at reaching the milestone of the 100th container ship. Since the port handled its first container ship in February, this achievement reflects the people and teams in the region who have demonstrated the ability to turn the project into reality.
Puerto Antioquia officially began operations on February 5, following a trial phase from late December 2025 to January 2026.
According to the schedule, container operations at the port will continue this week, including the arrival of the APL New Jersey on Tuesday, the Maersk Monte Verde expected on July 8, and the MSCV Calidris III arriving the following day.
Located in the Turbo region, the port receives weekly services from CMA CGM's PCRF, Brasex, and Medcarir routes, as well as Maersk's Cax and Nae routes, and MSC's Turbo Feeder service.
Puerto Antioquia features a 1,340-meter-long dock with five berths. The facility has an operating water depth of 16.5 meters, suitable for new Panama-class vessels, and a land platform area of 38 hectares.
Infrastructure includes container yards, cold storage warehouses, and dedicated areas for bulk, general cargo, and roll-on/roll-off goods, with an initial annual handling capacity of nearly 7 million tons, expandable as needed.
The port operates with the latest generation technology, including three STS and RTG electric cranes, non-intrusive inspection systems, real-time digital tracking platforms, and continuous 24/7 operations.
