en.Wedoany.com Reported - TIM, in partnership with Way-112 and Way-306 concessionaires under Grupo Way Brasil, has fully completed and operationalized a project providing 4G network connectivity on highways in Mato Grosso do Sul state.

The network covers the MS-112 and MS-306 highways directly managed by Grupo Way Brasil, as well as the intersecting BR-158 and BR-436 federal highways. The partnership aims to deliver 4G connectivity along these routes, benefiting surrounding communities.

According to information released by Grupo Way Brasil, a total of 52 TIM telecom towers have been installed along the 630 km stretch of benefited highways. These facilities relay 4G voice and internet signals and connect 300 video surveillance cameras to the Way operations control center. The newly deployed network provides connectivity to at least 270,000 residents across eight cities, villages, and rural communities in inland Mato Grosso do Sul. TIM states that vehicles traveling along the 630 km of highways can also enjoy uninterrupted and fast calling and internet access.

In addition to roadside connectivity, the partnership between TIM and Grupo Way Brasil enhances road monitoring. The 300 cameras, installed approximately every 2 km along the 630 km route, will help quickly identify accidents and other issues, such as suspicious vehicles moving through the area. The now-operational 4G network facilitates communication among rescue teams, emergency services, and police forces responding to calls. TIM emphasizes that most of the installed equipment is powered by solar energy, aiming to improve operational sustainability and energy independence.
