en.Wedoany.com Reported - The basic sanitation infrastructure in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil, has been strengthened as the concessionaire Águas do Paraíba officially delivered the Saraiva Wastewater Treatment Plant (ETE Saraiva).

The plant has been in operation since January this year, and a recent ceremony marked the completion of the project and its formal integration into the city's sewage sanitation system.
Designed to serve the Parque Saraiva community and parts of Goytacazes, the wastewater treatment plant has a treatment capacity of 12 liters of sewage per second, benefiting approximately 1,600 properties. The expansion of the collection and treatment network helps reduce environmental impact and strengthens public health actions, thereby improving the living conditions of the beneficiary population.
Giuliano Junho Tinoco, Executive Director of Águas do Paraíba, stated at the ceremony that the new plant represents another step in the expansion of sanitation facilities in Campos. According to him, with the ETE Saraiva in operation, the city now has 11 wastewater treatment plants, increasing system capacity and bringing the city closer to achieving universal service coverage.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Frederico Paes, City Council President Fred Rangel, the concessionaire's Regional Director Carlos Eduardo Tavares, as well as representatives from public authorities, civil society, company employees, and residents of the benefited area. The event brought together various sectors driving the development of sanitation in the city and formally marked the delivery of the new infrastructure.
