en.Wedoany.com Reported - Microsoft and Commvault announced a strategic partnership, with Microsoft offering Commvault's AI and cyber resilience technology as a native ISV service on Microsoft Azure, which is scheduled to enter public preview in the summer. The two companies will also collaborate on go-to-market initiatives, joint sales, solution development, and sales activity integration.

In the future, Azure customers can directly deploy and integrate Commvault's capabilities through the Azure cloud platform. These capabilities support the recovery of data, applications, and identities in the event of system attacks, failures, or human errors.
Commvault stated that this close collaboration will ensure unified procurement, onboarding, and operational processes, eliminating the need for customers to have separate infrastructure, manual integrations, or external tools. Commvault's recovery and resilience capabilities are integrated into Azure and aligned with AI-based workflows on Azure. Customers can deploy and manage these capabilities alongside existing Azure services through a unified, integrated user interface. Additionally, customers can purchase Commvault Cloud via the Microsoft Marketplace and count its usage toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC).
Sanjay Mirchandani, President and CEO of Commvault, stated that the two companies have collaborated for over 25 years, and this partnership elevates their cooperation to new heights. Girish Bablani, President of Microsoft Azure Core, noted that customers trust Azure as the resilient foundation for their cloud and AI workloads, and Commvault's native support provides customers with more data protection and recovery options, along with a more seamless user experience within Azure.
