en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vistry has secured planning permission to build 229 new homes and 12 commercial units (High Street Phase 1) within the Locking Parklands development in the UK. The site, led by Homes England, forms part of the strategic redevelopment of the former Royal Air Force (RAF) Locking base.

Vistry's phases are part of the wider Locking Parklands masterplan, which will ultimately deliver approximately 2,000 homes (subject to planning permission), commercial space, and community facilities on the site. Vistry's development will offer a mix of tenures, with 50% designated as affordable housing to support local needs and create a sustainable, inclusive community.

Susan Scholfield, Regional Managing Director of Vistry Bristol, said she is delighted to contribute over 200 new homes to the Locking Parklands regeneration project. With 50% of the homes being affordable housing, the project will make a significant contribution to the supply of affordable homes in the area while providing a wide range of housing choices for local residents.

Sam Gammon, National Disposal Lead at Homes England, said it is great to be working with Vistry to deliver these important phases at Locking Parklands. The delivery of these phases will infill the area between the completed primary school, secondary school, and GP surgery with homes, jobs, and amenities, creating a vibrant village centre at Locking Parklands and the wider Parklands Village centre.
