Chongqing Qingtuo New Materials' 700,000-tonne annual stainless steel cold rolling project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and is expected to be completed and operational by June 2027. Upon full production, its annual output value could reach 10 billion yuan. This project fills the gap in high-end cold-rolled stainless steel production capacity in Chongqing, driving the transformation of Fuling's metal materials industry towards intelligence, green development, and integration, while also boosting downstream industries such as local high-end equipment, kitchenware, and medical devices. REPT Battero's 30GWh battery project, with an initial phase planning 12GWh of energy storage and power lithium battery capacity, will, after production, address the shortcomings in Fuling's Vehicle Industry" target="_blank">new energy vehicle cell manufacturing, helping Fuling build a 100-billion-level intelligent connected new energy vehicle and parts industry cluster.
Recently, Ma'anshan Boteng Metallurgical Technology Co., Ltd.'s project for annual processing of 20,000 tonnes of precision molds and cutting tools for new energy vehicles officially commenced in Bowang High-tech Zone. Located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Wangyun Road and Putuoshan Road in Bowang High-tech Zone, the project covers approximately 43 mu of planned land. It primarily focuses on high-end new energy vehicle molds and shredder blade products, establishing an integrated precision processing production line from special steel forgings to high-end molds and cutting tools, providing a new production capacity foundation for the regional high-end equipment manufacturing industry upgrade.
On June 26, the Taiyuan Municipal Administrative Examination and Approval Service Bureau published a public notice regarding the environmental impact assessment document for the upgrade and structural optimization project of the 4300mm medium and heavy plate heat treatment products at the Hot Rolling Plant of Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. The public consultation period is 5 working days (from June 26, 2026, to July 2, 2026). The main construction contents of this project include: adding intermediate slab air cooling equipment to the existing hot rolling production line in the workshop, adding a heavy plate cooling bed, a finishing line cold straightening machine, and a cutting device, increasing the hot rolling process capacity from the existing 700,000 tonnes/year to 1.02 million tonnes/year; installing a 200,000 tonnes/year stainless steel heat treatment line and a stainless steel pickling line within the existing reserved bay; constructing a stainless steel grinding and packaging production line on the north side parking lot and green belt of the existing project; extending the existing solution treatment bay southward and setting up a 120,000 tonnes/year carbon steel heat treatment line. After the upgrade and transformation, the project will achieve an annual production scale of 102 tonnes of rolled steel, 500,000 tonnes of stainless steel surface treatment (including heat treatment and pickling), and 120,000 tonnes of carbon steel heat treatment.
