Fastjet has signed a commercial agreement with Euroairlines, allowing its operated flights to be distributed through Euroairlines' international sales network. The agreement enables Fastjet's services to be marketed under the airline's FN code and ticketed via Euroairlines' IATA Q4 billing plate, thereby accessing major global distribution systems used by travel agents worldwide.

Antonio López-Lázaro, CEO of Euroairlines, stated that this partnership expands Euroairlines' value proposition for agents and travelers by adding new destinations and promoting more efficient connectivity within Africa, complementing other African customer networks.

The agreement is expected to enhance the visibility of destinations in South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, making it easier for international travelers to combine regional itineraries.

Additionally, Fastjet Zimbabwe has signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Airways to establish an interline partnership, with plans to subsequently add codeshare agreements and frequent flyer cooperation. Signed on July 7 in Harare, Zimbabwe, the agreement will allow Etihad passengers to connect to Fastjet Zimbabwe flights on a single ticket to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, as well as Johannesburg. Ticket sales will begin on August 24.

This partnership supports Etihad's planned direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Harare, set to launch on March 24, 2027, extending the Gulf carrier's reach across Zimbabwe through Fastjet's domestic and regional routes.

Arik De, Etihad Airways' Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said the cooperation aligns with the airline's African growth strategy, noting that Africa is a key part of Etihad's expansion, and partnerships with carriers like Fastjet Zimbabwe help extend service reach, opening more African destinations to travelers.

Donahue Cortes, CEO and Country Head of Fastjet Zimbabwe, stated that the agreement marks the beginning of what he believes will be a significant partnership.

Fastjet Group is also preparing to relaunch the Fastjet Mozambique brand under a franchise agreement with Solenta Aviation Mozambique. Solenta Aviation Mozambique confirmed in February its plans to resume scheduled flight services from Beira International Airport under the Fastjet brand, with an initial fleet of three 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 aircraft. Fastjet Mozambique previously operated between 2017 and 2019.
