en.Wedoany.com Reported - Siemens has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with FuelCell Energy to jointly develop fuel cell-based power generation systems, supporting commercial projects exceeding 100 MW. The partnership integrates Siemens' electrical design and supply capabilities with FuelCell Energy's fuel cell technology.

Under the agreement, Siemens will design and supply electrical auxiliary systems for fuel cell installations, responsible for the electrical auxiliary system design and integration services of fuel cell-based power systems. FuelCell Energy will handle the design, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance of fuel cell power plants. These power plants are primarily targeted at data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, and other distributed generation customers.

The scope of collaboration covers joint project development in engineering, integration, and delivery of distributed energy systems, which may include fuel cells, battery energy storage, microgrid controls, and medium-voltage electrical equipment. Both parties will jointly evaluate methods to improve deployment timelines, manage costs, and support broader system applications.

Additionally, the agreement includes conducting pilot projects and solution development to assess the application of fuel cell systems and electrical infrastructure in real-world scenarios. Key focus areas involve medium-voltage direct current transmission and modular electrical systems. The parties plan to use test results from pilot projects to identify potential commercial deployment options, target markets, and specific deployment methods.
