This application covers the latest improvements to the company's ThermoLoop thermochemical water-splitting process, as well as new material compositions discovered by the technical team at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara). The company's proprietary process utilizes advanced solid-state materials combined with machine learning-driven material discovery approaches to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

NewHydrogen stated that its technical team is currently constructing the ThermoLoop Engineering Test Unit (ETU). Once completed, the company's focus will shift to generating the data required for designing its first commercial pilot plant. The ETU is an automated demonstration and testing system capable of operating 24/7 without human intervention, and through high-frequency iterative runs, it will produce the critical high-resolution data needed for designing scaled-up hydrogen production plants.

Steve Hill, CEO of NewHydrogen, stated that the ETU serves as the foundation for all subsequent work, enabling the team to transition from validating fundamental science to building the dataset that will define the first pilot plant, and from there, to the scale that the market is moving toward.
