en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, the launching ceremony for "Shenhai Hydrogen 1," the world's first semi-submersible wind power hydrogen production platform built by CIMC Raffles under CIMC Group, was held in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. Representatives from the Jiangmen Municipal Development and Reform Bureau, Shenergy Group, China Classification Society (CCS) Zhuhai Branch, and various partner organizations gathered on site to witness this milestone moment. The platform has now completed the improvement and commissioning of its onshore process systems and is about to be deployed in the South China Sea.

"Shenhai Hydrogen 1" is the first domestic project to obtain CCS classification survey and statutory maritime certification, laying the foundation for subsequent similar projects to achieve offshore commercialized, large-scale, and standardized operations. The platform is designed for the harsh sea conditions and shallow-water operating environment of the South China Sea. It represents an innovative exploration of the deep integration of offshore wind power and hydrogen production technology, and is also an important practice by CIMC Group in promoting the development of marine green energy equipment.

Targeting the demand for large-scale offshore hydrogen production, "Shenhai Hydrogen 1" has achieved multiple breakthroughs in key technologies and system integration: an innovative shallow-water multi-point disconnectable mooring design, with structures capable of withstanding once-in-50-year sea conditions, ensuring safe wind farm operations; a grid-connected/off-grid dual power supply mode and motion suppression technology, ensuring uninterrupted production of PEM electrolyzers under complex sea conditions; equipped with thousand-cubic-meter-class PEM electrolyzers and 3 types of hydrogen storage systems, supporting multiple systems for sea-adaptability testing; and a supporting remote monitoring system, enabling unattended intelligent operation and maintenance.

The successful launch of "Shenhai Hydrogen 1" is another achievement of CIMC Raffles' independent innovation in the field of marine green new energy equipment, and also an important milestone for CIMC Group in promoting the transformation of its marine equipment business from oil and gas equipment to green energy. As a continuation of CIMC Raffles' "Yantai Offshore Energy Island Marine Hydrogen-Ammonia-Methanol Integrated Pilot Project," this platform has consolidated the development foundation of the marine energy island product line from nearshore to far-sea operations, accumulating technical and experiential reserves for the company to advance deep-sea wind power development and consumption, and to build a strategic energy supply hub for green shipping.

The platform has achieved the practical application of offshore wind power hydrogen production scenarios, providing strong support for solving the challenge of offshore green electricity consumption and building a marine new energy industry chain. It is a sustained investment and vivid practice in opening up new frontiers of marine clean energy and promoting green low-carbon development.

Forging ahead toward the sea, green hydrogen sets sail. CIMC's marine green energy equipment, represented by "Shenhai Hydrogen 1," is sailing toward the deep blue, contributing Chinese wisdom and CIMC strength to the global marine energy transition.
