Duos stated it will deliver a fully operational deployment optimized for high-density AI workloads, but did not disclose further technical details.

Duos CEO Doug Recker said the framework agreement with Nistar lays the foundation for substantial expansion of the existing computing footprint, and he looks forward to advancing the full deployment in the coming months. He noted that the continued growth in AI infrastructure demand creates significant opportunities for scalable edge data center deployments, and Duos' platform is capable of supporting these new requirements.

Duos Edge AI, a subsidiary of rail technology company Duos Technologies, was founded in 2024 and has deployed modular edge data centers in Texas, Illinois, and Florida. The company's current 300kW pods can be deployed within 90 days, while it is developing higher-density 1-2.5MW units. Duos plans to add another 10MW of capacity at the Georgia campus later this year, targeting 20MW across 65 pods by the end of 2026, and 60MW across 250 pods by 2028.

Nistar CEO Jay Sivam said the agreement is critical to Nistar's strategy of providing scalable, financeable AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, with deployment speed, power availability, and high-density design being key factors. He views this as the first of multiple deployments with Duos and plans to replicate the model at other locations.
