en.Wedoany.com Reported - MTS has launched an LTE network in the gardening cooperative "Yasnye Polyany" (СНТ «Ясные поляны») in the Aniva District of Sakhalin Oblast, implemented in partnership with the Sakhalin Oblast Digital Development Department.

MTS engineers deployed new telecommunications equipment in the cooperative, providing reliable voice communication and high-speed internet access to the dacha area, with network speeds reaching up to 70 Mbps. Local residents and summer residents can now remotely access medical and educational services, use government services and banking applications, and stay in touch with friends and family online.

Shamil Chekmarev, Director of MTS in Sakhalin Oblast, stated that the development of communication infrastructure in dacha and summer residential areas is particularly important during the warm season. Many Sakhalin residents prefer to live outside the city, and MTS's task is to provide them with reliable, high-quality network connectivity to enjoy the benefits of digital technology. The company continues to improve its LTE network, with modernization plans covering both large cities and small villages in the island region. This year, large-scale quality improvement efforts have been carried out in the Dolinsk, Korsakov, Aniva, Makarov, and Kholmsk districts.
