FAW-Volkswagen will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2026. The joint venture between China FAW Group and Volkswagen Group became the first passenger car manufacturer in China to reach 30 million vehicles produced offline in October 2025. In the full year of 2025, FAW-Volkswagen's vehicle sales exceeded 1.587 million units, achieving a market share increase against the trend amid deep industry adjustments. In terms of open cooperation, China FAW Group and Volkswagen Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Germany in March 2025, defining new vehicle plans for FAW-Volkswagen; in August, they signed the "Jetta Business Development Cooperation Agreement" in Chengdu; in November, at the 8th China International Import Expo, they signed a memorandum of cooperation on imported vehicles and parts, specifying plans to import certain parts and Audi vehicles in 2026.
