en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hexagon has completed the acquisition of the remaining 49% equity stake in Wuhan ZG Technology Co., Ltd., increasing its shareholding from 51% to 100%. Hexagon acquired a 51% majority stake in Wuhan ZG Technology in August 2021 and has since integrated it into its Manufacturing Intelligence business.

Wuhan ZG Technology is primarily engaged in the research and development, manufacturing, and engineering services of industrial-grade portable 3D measurement and scanning equipment. Its product portfolio includes handheld blue-light laser 3D scanners, optical tracking 3D laser scanning systems, automated inline inspection systems, and full-color 3D scanning devices. Its equipment is used in automotive manufacturing, aerospace, rail transit, heavy industry, foundry, and scientific research, applicable to quality inspection, reverse engineering, and digitization of complex components.

Following the completion of the full acquisition, Hexagon has obtained full access to Wuhan ZG Technology's intellectual property and plans to integrate the two parties' existing handheld scanning products into a unified platform. Wuhan ZG Technology will assume the role of Hexagon's Portable Metrology Technology Center, and its Wuhan R&D organization will continue to participate in the group's handheld 3D measurement equipment development.

Wuhan ZG Technology currently offers product series including AtlaScan, MarvelScan, RigelScan, HyperScan, and AutoMetric, among which AutoMetric is positioned for intelligent inline inspection, the HyperScan series adopts optical tracking, and AtlaScan and RigelScan are designed for portable industrial measurement. According to the company's public information, its technological foundation derives from research and development in photogrammetry and computer vision at Wuhan University, and it possesses its own patent and software copyright portfolio.
