en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 3, Chuan Lih Fa Machinery completed the manufacturing of its CLF-5000TPII, a 5,000-ton ultra-large two-platen injection molding machine, and shipped it to the United States. The customer is a supplier of logistics and retail equipment. Chuan Lih Fa has designated this machine as Taiwan's first 5,000-ton-class two-platen injection molding machine and the largest-tonnage model the company has manufactured to date. The equipment will be used in the U.S. to produce heavy-duty plastic returnable containers for agricultural product transport, targeting North American logistics operators and large supermarket chain distribution systems.

The CLF-5000TPII adopts a two-platen clamping structure, which reduces the overall machine length by approximately 15%–20% compared to traditional toggle-type equipment of the same tonnage. The machine is equipped with a side-entry mold loading solution, allowing molds to be loaded from the side of the machine when large mold changes are constrained by factory ceiling height and overhead crane space limitations. The Chuan Lih Fa TPII series covers a clamping force range of 600 to 5,000 tons, with this delivered model sitting at the highest tonnage end of the series.

The customer's initial molded part weight was approximately 30 kg, and Chuan Lih Fa configured the machine's maximum injection capacity to support parts up to 42 kg. For the large container molding process, the machine employs low injection speed with high holding pressure, and features reinforced platen rigidity to withstand the loads of dozens-of-ton molds during continuous operation.

The machine is also equipped with an electric servo accumulator system and far-infrared heating elements. According to long-term comparative test data published by Chuan Lih Fa, this configuration can reduce electricity consumption by approximately 20%–50% under mass production conditions compared to traditional hydraulic-driven equipment. The two-platen structure eliminates the traditional toggle linkage mechanism and reduces the machine's footprint length.

From preliminary drawing design and key component machining to final assembly, this machine was organized and executed entirely by Chuan Lih Fa. The company's existing heavy machining facilities include six large milling machines and ultra-large overhead bridge cranes, with critical heavy machining processes completed at its in-house plant. September 3 marked the equipment shipment milestone, and the machine will subsequently undertake the production of heavy-duty plastic returnable containers at the customer's U.S. manufacturing site.
