en.Wedoany.com Reported - LG U+ has officially taken over the security monitoring business of its subsidiary LG HelloVision, a move aimed at extending the headquarters' mature security policies and threat response capabilities to core subsidiaries to achieve unified monitoring and management.

On the 12th, LG U+ and LG HelloVision signed a consignment and contract agreement for the security monitoring business, and have begun monitoring traffic on the latter's customer contact point services, such as its website, as well as some internet services. Previously, LG HelloVision's security monitoring was handled by CJ OliveNetworks, covering multiple areas including its website and ultra-high-speed internet services.
LG HelloVision operates communication and media services such as cable TV, ultra-high-speed internet, and virtual mobile network operators, making security monitoring capabilities to protect customer information and service operational data crucial. In addition to LG HelloVision, LG U+ has already been performing security monitoring for other subsidiaries such as MediaLog. By incorporating LG HelloVision into its monitoring scope, LG U+ plans to uniformly apply the headquarters' security standards and threat detection and response systems to its major communication and media subsidiaries.
Meanwhile, LG U+ is simultaneously expanding security inspections for its subsidiaries. In March, July, and November of last year, the company conducted security diagnostics and vulnerability checks on major subsidiaries in three separate rounds. Additionally, through the operation of a subsidiary information security consultative body, LG U+ continuously assesses the security levels of each subsidiary and has begun building a joint information security risk response system, aiming to strengthen the collaborative management foundation between the headquarters' security organization and subsidiaries. LG U+ stated that it will improve its governance structure to enable its security levels to be applicable to subsidiaries and establish a system for jointly responding to information security risks.
