Currently, the 4# and 5# cold boxes have been topped out, and the construction of the 3# air separation cold box panel has reached the third layer, with overall construction progressing steadily as planned.
On July 8, the first hoisting task of the raw coal silo for the coal mill unit of the Shaanxi Coal Yulin Phase II project, undertaken by the Inner Mongolia Branch and hoisted by the Fifth Hoisting Command of the Heavy Machinery Company, was completed.
From July 3 to 4, the vinyl acetate unit of the Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Phase II Stage I project, contracted by China Chemical Engineering Donghua Company, successfully completed the centralized hoisting of five key pieces of equipment, marking the official entry into the peak equipment installation phase. The hoisted equipment includes the azeotropic distillation column, pre-dehydration column, azeotropic distillation column reboiler, acetic acid evaporator, and acetic acid separation tank, primarily responsible for separation tasks in the synthesis and distillation units.
The 15 million tons/year coal grading clean and efficient conversion demonstration project of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. fully utilizes the abundant coal resources in the Yulin region, with "coal grading utilization technology" as its core. Through two pathways—coal-to-olefins and coal-to-aromatics—it deeply couples modern coal chemical industry with various platform compounds from the petrochemical industry, extending the industrial chain to ultimately produce 45 products in four major categories: high-value-added materials, degradable materials, battery electrolyte solvents, and specialty oils. Upon full completion, the project is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 134 billion yuan, annual profits exceeding 30 billion yuan, and provide over 7,000 jobs.
The Phase II Stage I of the project covers a total area of approximately 9,200 mu, with an estimated total investment of about 62 billion yuan. Upon completion, it is expected to achieve an average annual sales revenue of 20.7 billion yuan and after-tax profit of 3.3 billion yuan. The project has been included in the national "Energy Development '13th Five-Year Plan'" and "Coal Deep Processing Industry Demonstration '13th Five-Year Plan'", and is being constructed in two phases. Phase I has already built a 1.8 million tons/year ethylene glycol unit and a 1.2 million tons/year coal pyrolysis unit, with a 500,000 tons/year DMC unit under construction; Phase II plans to build olefins, aromatics, and deep processing projects. Through efficient coal grading and utilization, it will produce bulk platform products such as olefins, aromatics, and base oils, and further process them into four major categories of end products: high-value-added materials, battery electrolyte solvents, degradable materials, and specialty oils, achieving coordinated development of the coal chemical and petrochemical industries.
