en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Abai Region of Kazakhstan and the Chinese enterprise Inner Mongolia Wanjiang Invest Co., Ltd. have signed a memorandum of cooperation to implement two major investment projects totaling $1.5 billion in the Abai Region. The signing ceremony was recently completed in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, by the Governor of the Abai Region, Berik Vari.

According to the memorandum, the two parties plan to build an aluminum product manufacturing plant with an annual output of 300,000 tons and a wind power project with a total installed capacity of 1 GW in the Abai Region. Upon completion, these projects will enhance the industrial development level of the Abai Region, promote the development of renewable energy, create new job opportunities, and drive sustainable economic growth in the area.

Berik Vari stated that these projects hold significant strategic importance for the Abai Region, and the regional government will continue to create a favorable cooperation environment for investors to facilitate the smooth implementation of the projects. During the visit, Berik Vari also inspected the production base of Inner Mongolia Wanjiang Invest Co., Ltd. The company is a large comprehensive enterprise group in China, with businesses covering coal mining, transportation and processing, new energy, equipment manufacturing, construction, and other fields. It has an annual turnover exceeding 5 billion RMB, owns over 30 subsidiaries, and implements cooperative projects in multiple regions of China and Kazakhstan. The delegation also visited several modern enterprises in Ordos City.
