en.Wedoany.com Reported - Mexican mining company J2 Metals Inc. has initiated the first high-resolution UAV airborne magnetic geophysical survey at the Sierra Plata (silver, gold, antimony) project within the historic Zacualpan-Taxco mining district in Guerrero State. The survey is being conducted by JM Geoconsultores, a Mexican company based in Querétaro, covering an airborne area of approximately 1,885 hectares with a total flight line length of 562 kilometers.

According to technical specifications released by the company, the survey is designed with a line spacing of 50 meters and a constant flight altitude of 50 meters above ground level. Total magnetic intensity (TMI) measurements are being acquired using a high-resolution magnetometer mounted on a DJI Matrice UAV platform. The primary objective of this technical deployment is to collect modern geophysical data to construct a three-dimensional structural model of the deposit. J2 Metals CEO Thomas Lamb stated that integrating these airborne data with ongoing surface geological mapping will provide a precise image of ore-bearing structures, which is critical for identifying priority targets for future drilling programs.

Meanwhile, the company's surface exploration activities are advancing under the supervision of Mexico Country Manager Carlos Cham. The technical team continues rock sampling and documenting old mine workings in the western portion of the concession, while applying for necessary environmental permits from relevant authorities. Upon completion of UAV data acquisition, J2 Metals will engage an independent geophysical consultant to perform three-dimensional inversion of the structured results.
