en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 22 MW Seti Khola hydropower plant in Nepal has officially commenced operation, as announced by project investor Dolma Impact Fund.

The run-of-river plant is located on the Seti Khola River in Kaski District, Gandaki Province, within the Pokhara Metropolitan City area. Its designed annual power generation capacity is 133.432 GWh.
Seti Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for the project development, with construction commencing in April 2021. The construction scope includes intake, desanding basin, headrace tunnel and penstock, surge tank, pressure shaft, powerhouse, tailrace channel, and switchyard.
Under the power purchase agreement, electricity generated by the plant will be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The power is transmitted via a 1.5 km long 132 kV transmission line to the 132 kV Lekhnath-Damauli transmission line.
The project design and construction were undertaken by Clean Energy Consultant Pvt. Ltd., while civil works were carried out by M&A Construction.
Dolma Impact Fund stated that the commissioning of the Seti Khola project marks the fifth renewable energy project completed by the fund in Nepal.
