en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 26, the stator of Unit 2 at the Datang Zhala Hydropower Station, developed by Harbin Electric Group, was successfully hoisted and precisely positioned, laying a solid foundation for subsequent unit assembly, commissioning, and on-schedule operation.

Located deep in the hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau, the Datang Zhala Hydropower Station is a key project under the national "Tibet Power Transmission" initiative and is currently the world's most complex impulse-type hydropower project under construction. The station is equipped with two 500 MW impulse turbine generator units, the largest single-unit capacity in the world, and has been selected as one of the first (sets) of major technical equipment projects in the energy sector by the National Energy Administration. Featuring high altitude, high head, and large capacity, it serves as a mainstay unit type supporting the national strategy of "accelerating the construction of hydropower bases in Southwest China." Harbin Electric Machinery Company is responsible for developing Unit 2 of the Zhala Hydropower Station.

The stator is one of the core components of a hydroelectric generator unit. During the development process, the Machinery Company adhered to independent innovation, and the technical team overcame multiple process challenges, making the stator structure more robust and its operation more reliable, capable of maintaining excellent performance over the long term, thereby providing a solid guarantee for the safe and stable power generation of the unit.

Under the coordinated organization of China Datang Corporation, the Machinery Company worked collaboratively with all participating parties during project construction, repeatedly simulating and refining special plans to minimize environmental impact. Through rigorous whole-process control, all indicators of the Zhala unit stator developed by the Machinery Company met design standards, achieving a smooth hoisting and precise positioning, marking the full entry of Zhala Unit 2 into the final assembly stage.
