Scotland's BLC Energy Secures Approval for 30 MW Solar and 6 MW Energy Storage Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - BLC Energy has obtained planning permission for its 30 MW Binn solar project in Scotland, along with a supporting 6 MW battery energy storage system. The company stated that the project has a solar capacity of 30 MW (AC) and an installed capacity of 39 MW peak (39-MWp).

The Perth and Kinross Council unanimously approved the integrated solar-plus-storage development. BLC Energy views this decision as a key step in expanding renewable energy generation and increasing grid-supporting energy storage capacity in the region. The project co-locates solar power generation with energy storage facilities.
