Danish Cadeler Secures €247 Million Loan to Build Offshore Wind Installation Vessel

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Offshore wind installation vessel company Cadeler announced on July 13, 2026, that it has signed a €247 million senior secured green term loan to partially finance the construction of its third A-class newbuilding offshore wind installation vessel, "Wind Apex". This 12-year loan is supported by the Danish Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) and is designated as green financing under Cadeler's green finance framework.

HSBC Bank Singapore Branch serves as coordinator, mandated lead arranger, loan agent, security agent, and EIFO agent, with the syndicate including HSBC, Germany's KfW IPEX-Bank, Rabobank, and DNB Bank.Wind Apex is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2027. Cadeler currently has two A-class vessels under construction at COSCO Shipping Group, withWind Ace to be delivered in the second half of 2026.

Cadeler CEO Mikkel Gleerup stated: "We are very pleased to secure this financing for Wind Apex together with a strong group of international banking partners.
